Fire Stations

The Fire Chief’s Association of Broward County is made up of Chief Fire Officers from the 29 municipalities, Broward County, and representatives of Broward’s Trauma Agency, the American Red Cross, Division of Forestry, and Broward County Emergency Management.

About Us

The Association meets the first Thursday of each month and is run by the Executive Board, who are Chief Fire Officers that are elected into the positions of President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Current officers and Past Presidents can be found here.

The Association has formed several long standing committees whose objectives and goals are to research and monitor the latest trends in the Fire and EMS service. Information about the committees’ and method of contacting the chairperson of each committee can be found here.

The City Council of Las Vegas voted today to approve the settlement of a lawsuit brought by a female firefighter who was at the center of a controversy surrounding a sexually explicit video. The firefighter, identified as Jane Doe, claims a former boyfriend who was a firefighter in Henderson, improperly shared an intimate video of her after their relationship ended. read more
California Criminalizes Phototaking By Emergency Responders 23 Oct 2020
The State of California has become the latest state to enact a law making it a criminal offense for a first responder to take certain photos at emergency scenes. Introduced in the California Legislature under the title of “Invasion of privacy: first responders”, the legislation was signed into law by Governor Gavin Newsom on September 28, 2020. read more
